About Chrome Extension "ZScreenshot"

Thank you for using ZScreenshot (the "Extension"). This Privacy Policy explains how we protect your privacy.

Summary

This extension is a tool for taking screenshots and recording your screen within your browser. All processing is done locally on your device, and captured data is never sent to external servers.

Data Collection

This extension does not collect, store, or transmit personal data except in the following cases:

  • License authentication: Google ID is used for authentication, and email address is collected for customer support (email is not used for authentication)
  • License purchase: Your email address is sent to Stripe for payment processing
  • Contact form: We receive your email address and message content for support

Screenshot and recording data is never collected.

Browser Storage

This extension stores the following data in your browser:

  • User settings (format, quality, etc.)
  • History data (images/videos stored in IndexedDB)

Permissions

This extension requires the following permissions:

  • activeTab- To capture the current tab
  • tabs- To access tab information
  • scripting- To execute scripts for full page capture
  • downloads- To save captured files
  • offscreen- For background processing
  • debugger- To use DevTools protocol for full page capture
  • sidePanel- To display the side panel UI
  • tabCapture- For screen recording feature
  • identity- For license authentication
  • identityEmail- To obtain Google ID for license authentication
  • clipboardWrite- To copy to clipboard

Payment Information

Payment processing for license purchases uses Stripe. Credit card information is sent directly to Stripe without passing through this service's servers. Please see Stripe's privacy policy at https://stripe.com/privacy.

Third-Party Services

This extension uses the following third-party services:

  • Stripe - Payment processing (license purchase only)

The capture functionality itself is completely contained within your browser and does not communicate with external services.

Children's Privacy

This extension is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13 years of age.
